Carl earned a degree in Finance from Virginia Tech and has focused his career in Finance; primarily in the mortgage banking and stock industry.  He gained hands on insights and knowledge during his 30+ year career, and gained an even deeper interest in managing finance for institutions. He also serves as an instructor at several local Real Estate schools in addition to conducting seminars throughout the region.

 

Carl's skills as an educator and finance guru make him an essential arm of Flip Flop Friends; he is in charge of the budgeting, budget balancing and manages tax documentation for the organization.

Husband to the CEO, Amy, exposed him to Kenya, and in particular, Magunga Primary School.  Together, they chose to formalize the charity in 2018 and have not looked back.  Carl has major plans to not advance Flip Flop Friends mission, but also create enough revenue for side projects.
